【Abstract】Objective To explore the effect of filial therapy group training on parental acceptance of children and the parental stress. Method 24 children with emotional problems were randomly divided to the training group(n=12) and the control group (n=12).The parents of the training group were trained on filial therapy in groups and the control group did not have a systematic intervention. The Porter Parental Acceptance Scale(PPAS) and Family Stress Scale were used to compare between the two groups before and after intervention.Results 20 cases were in training group while the control group was 19. After intervening, the PPAS total score of the training group was significanthigher than the control group (P<0.05), and the children’s behavior problem lever of training groupwas significant lower than the control group(P<0.05). The training group demonstrated a significant increase in the score of appreciates child uniqueness and recognizes autonomy needs(P<0.05), and a significant reduction of children’s behavior problem lever and parental stress(P<0.05) Conclusion Parents of children with emotional problems can improve their acceptance of children and relieve the parenting stress through short-term group training.The filial therapy should be popularized further.
