Objective To study sleep quality in commissioned officers and sailors aboard naval vessels afer 1 month in ocean training and analyzes the relationship between sleep quality and quality of life in order to provide references for improvement for sleep quality、quality of life and fighting capacity.Methods 136 commissioned officers and sailors aboard naval vessels were selected by random cluster sampling method.their sleep quality and quality of life were investigated by Pittsburgh Sleep Quality index(PSQI) and the medieal outcome study short form health survey (SF-36）.Total PSQI＞7 points was taken as the criteria of poor sleep quality. Results The rate of poor sleep quality was 56.25%；In addition to emotional problems 、mental health，the total core of SF-36、Physical Component Summary、Mental Component Summary and six dimensions of officers and sailors in poor sleep quality were significantly lower than normal sleep group（t=-4.84～-2.08，P＜0.05）；Excep the score of taking hypnotic drugs was positively correlaed to the dimension of mental health ,the total score of PSQI and each facor score were negatively correlated to the total score of SF-36 and other dimensions（P＜0.05）.Conclusion sleep quality of commissioned officers and sailors aboard naval vessels are poor, those with sleep disorder are usually poor in quality of life，therefore intervention of sleep quality in commissioned officers and sailors aboard naval vessels in ocean training must be strengthened.
