Objective: To observe the depression and anxiety state of patients with chronic alcoholic peripheral neuropathy treated with mirtazapine. Methods: 64 patients with chronic alcoholic peripheral neuropathy treated in our hospital from January 2018 to December 2018 were included in the study. According to the principle of randomization, the patients were divided into observation group (32 cases) and control group (32 cases). Mizapine combined therapy and routine treatment were given respectively. The lower extremity neurological impairment score (NIS-LL) and neurological symptoms change score of the two groups were evaluated before and after treatment. (NSS), anxiety (SAS), depression (SDS) scores and clinical efficacy were evaluated comprehensively. Results: Compared with before treatment, the NIS-LL score and NSS score of the two groups were decreased, but the decrease of the observation group was greater than that of the control group (P < 0.05); SAS and SDS scores of the two groups were better than those in the control group (P < 0.05), with statistical significance; the total effective rate of the observation group was 93.75% VS 78.13% in the control group, with statistical significance between the two groups (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Mirtazapine combined with chronic alcoholic peripheral neuropathy can promote the improvement of neurological symptoms, alleviate anxiety and depression, the effect is remarkable, and it is worthy of popularization and application.
