The demographic characteristics, educational level, marital status and family care were collected. 420 patients with cerebral infarction were investigated by SAS and SDS. The results were analyzed by Logistic regression analysis. Results: Among 420 patients with cerebral infarction, 191 (45.48%) had anxiety disorder, 187 (44.52%) had depression, 155 (36.90%) had anxiety and depression; there are totally 223 cases (53.10%) with anxiety and depression; the incidence of anxiety and depression in cerebral infarction patients with different age, educational level, marital status, residence, family care, insomnia and dysactivity was compared. The difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Logistic regression analysis showed that patients who were less than 60 years old, with high educational level, single, unconcerned family members, insomnia and dysactivity were independent risk factors for anxiety and depression in patients with cerebral infarction (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Patients with cerebral infarction are prone to anxiety and depression.
