Objective: To investigate the efficacy and safety of escitalopram oxalate tablets combined with quetiapine tablets in the treatment of depression with hypertension. Methods: 86 patients with depression and hypertension were treated in our hospital from May 2018 to May 2019. By computer random method, 43 patients in each group were divided into routine group (Escitalopram Oxalate Tablets) and research group (Escitalopram Oxalate Tablets Combined with Quetiapine Tablets). Results: The overall clinical efficacy of the study group was higher than that of the conventional group, with statistical significance (p < 0.05); the 24-hour systolic pressure and 24-hour diastolic pressure of the study group were lower than those of the conventional group, with statistical significance (p < 0.05); the HAMD Hamilton Depression Scale score of the study group was lower than that of the conventional group at the 2nd, 4th and 8th weeks after treatment, with statistical significance (p < 0.05). There was no significant difference in the total incidence between the study group and the routine group (p > 0.05). CONCLUSION: Escitalopram oxalate tablets combined with quetiapine can not only alleviate depression and reduce blood pressure in patients with depression and hypertension, but also have fewer adverse reactions, safety and reliability. The overall effect is remarkable. It is worth recommending in clinic.
