ABSTRACT: Objective: To analyze the clinical effect of Xiaoyao Jieyu Decoction combined with western medicine in the treatment of female mental depression and the improvement of endocrine status of patients. Methods: 50 patients with depression who were treated in hospital were selected for grouping investigation, of which 25 cases were treated with conventional western medicine as control group, and 25 cases were treated with Xiaoyao Jieyu Decoction combined with western medicine as observation group. The intervention effects of the two groups were compared. Results: There was no significant difference in SDS score and HAMD score between the two groups before treatment. After treatment with different schemes, the decrease of SDS score and HAMD score in the observation group was significantly greater than that in the control group. There was no significant difference in LH and FSH levels between the two groups before treatment, but after treatment with different schemes. The levels of LH and FSH in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group. One patient in the observation group had an unsatisfactory therapeutic effect. The total effective rate was 86.00%. Six patients in the control group had an unsatisfactory therapeutic effect and the total effective rate was 76.00%. CONCLUSION: There is an important correlation between female depression and endocrine status and living environment. Drugs are the main treatment. Compared with conventional western medicine treatment, Xiaoyao Jieyu Decoction combined with western medicine treatment is more conducive to alleviating depression of patients, but also can regulate the endocrine state of patients, help to improve the quality of life of patients.
