Abstract: [objective] to explore the effect of psychological nursing intervention on adverse emotions of peptic ulcer patients. [Method] From February 2017 to February 2019, 200 patients with peptic ulcer in our hospital were selected and randomly divided into two groups with 100 cases in each group. Patients in the control group were given routine nursing intervention, while patients in the study group were given psychological nursing intervention. Self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and Self-rating Depression Scale (SDS) were used to evaluate the psychological status of the patients; the clinical efficacy of the two groups was evaluated, and the recurrence was counted after half a year follow-up; the quality of life of the patients was evaluated by SF-36 scale; and the satisfaction of the patients with the nursing service was investigated. [Result] Before intervention, there was no significant difference in SAS score and SDS score between the two groups (P > 0.05). After intervention, there was significant difference between the two groups (P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in total effective rate between the study group and the control group (98% vs 96%, 2 = 0.687, P = 0.407). There were 3 recurrences in the study group, 11 recurrences in the control group, and the study group was low. In the control group, there were statistical differences (2 = 4.915, P = 0.026); the quality of life evaluation found that the study group were higher than the control group, there were statistical differences (P < 0.05); nursing satisfaction in the study group was higher than that in the control group (98% vs 89%), there were statistical differences (2 = 6.663, P = 0.009). [Conclusion] In the nursing of peptic ulcer patients, psychological nursing intervention can alleviate negative emotions, ensure clinical efficacy, reduce recurrence rate, improve patientsquality of life, and patients satisfaction is high.
