Objective: To detect and analyze the depressive status of adolescent acne patients. Methods: Thirty cases of adolescent acne patients in our hospital from June 2017 to June 2019 were randomly selected as the acne group. Thirty cases of adolescent health examinees in our hospital during the same period were randomly selected as the health group. The SDS scores and depression incidences of the two groups were statistically analyzed. Results: The average SDS score of the acne group was significantly higher than the healthy group (P < 0.05). The SDS scores of male and female patients were significantly higher than the healthy group (P < 0.05), but the difference of SDS scores between male and female patients was not significant (P > 0.05); The SDS scores of grade 1, 2, 3 and 4 patients were significantly higher than the healthy group (P < 0.05). The differences of SDS scores among grade 1, 2, 3 and 4 patients were not significant (P > 0.05). The incidence of depression of the acne group 56.7% (17/30) was significantly higher than the healthy group 6.7% (2/30) (P < 0.05). The incidence of mild depression and moderate depression patients 26.7% (8/30), 26.7% (8/30) were significantly higher than the healthy group 6.7% (2/30), 0 (P < 0.05), but difference of incidences of severe depression between the two groups 3.3% (1/30), 0 was not significant (P > 0.05). Conclusion: The incidence of depression of adolescent acne patients is high, which seriously affects the mental health of patients, so is worthy of the clinical’s full attention.
