[Objective] To investigate the CT manifestations of the septum pellucidum in schizophrenic patients and to analyze its clinical significance. [Methods] From February 2018 to July 2019, 200 psychiatric patients in our hospital were selected, of which 100 were schizophrenic patients as study group 1 and the remaining 100 were other psychiatric patients as study group 2. In addition, 100 health examinees who participated in physical examination in our hospital were selected as control group. All the three groups were examined by CT to observe and analyze the detection of the septum pellucidum and the clinical manifestations. [Result] Firstly, the detection rate of septum pellucidum was 27% in study group 1, 10% in study group 2 and 1% in control group. Secondly, there were 1,15 cases of simple transparent septum, 11 cases of simple Wilsons cavity, 1 case of transparent septum and Wilsons cavity in the study group, 2,4 cases of simple transparent septum, 5 cases of simple Wilsons cavity, 1 case of transparent septum and Wilsons cavity in the study group, and 1 case of simple transparent septum in the control group. Thirdly, 27 of 100 schizophrenic patients were found to have septum pellucidum. Among them, 13 (35.1%) were aged 20-30 years, 9 (21.9%) were aged 31-40 years, and 5 (22.7%) were aged 41-50 years. Fourth, 27 of 100 schizophrenic patients were found to have septum pellucidum, of which 21 (36.8%) were male and 6 (13.9%) were female. [Conclusion] CT diagnosis can detect the cerebral septum pellucidum in schizophrenia, which is of great clinical significance and worthy of popularization and application.
