To study the clinical effect of topiramate treatment in patients with secondary epilepsy after cerebral infarction, and to analyze the effect of drug use on cognitive function recovery. METHODS: One hundred patients with cerebral infarction secondary epilepsy who met the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria were randomly selected from our hospitals in 2017. 2-2019.2. 50 patients treated with carbamazepine were given group A, and 50 patients treated with topiramate were randomly selected. Group B, collated and reviewed the treatment effects, cognitive function, quality of life after treatment and adverse reactions in the two groups. RESULTS: (1) The total effective rate of group A was lower than that of group B, P<0.05. (2) The score of Montreal cognitive assessment scale was lower in group A than in group B, P<0.05; (3) treatment in group A The scores of different life quality items were lower than that of group B, P<0.05; (4) the incidence of adverse reactions in group A was higher than that in group B, P<0.05. Conclusion: Topiramate treatment after epilepsy after cerebral infarction can take into account the clinical effect and medication safety, promote the recovery of cognitive function and reduce the impact of epilepsy on patients life. It is worth promoting.
