[Abstract] Objective To investigate the effect of venlafaxine on the mental health of elderly patients with osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture (OVCF) combined with anxiety and depression. Methods 100 elderly patients with osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture from January 1, 2018 to September 30, 2019 in our hospital were randomly divided into observation group and control group. 50 cases in the control group were given zoledronic acid injection and psychotherapy, and 50 cases in the observation group were treated with venlafaxine. After 2 months of treatment, compare the psychological state of the two groups before and after treatment: self-rating anxiety scale (SAS), self-rating depression scale (SDS); sleep quality: Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) scale; bone metabolism : Changes in blood calcium (Ca), alkaline phosphatase (AKP) and phosphorus (P). Results: The SAS, SDS and PSQI scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, the content of AKP was lower than that of the control group, and the content of Ca and P were higher than that of the control group, with significant differences (P <0.05). Conclusion: OVCF combined with anxiety and depression patients with venlafaxine combined with phosphonic acid injection and psychotherapy can effectively relieve patients anxiety and depression symptoms, improve bone metabolism and improve sleep quality.
