[Abstract] Objective To explore the status and influencing factors of depression in school-age children with vitiligo. Methods Ninety febrile children with vitiligo from February 2017 to February 2020 were selected as the research subjects. The self-rating scale of childrens depression (DSRSC) was used to assess depression. They were set as the depressive group and the non-depressive group. General information such as gender, course of disease, parental stress, etc. was investigated. Single factor and multifactor logistic regression analysis were used to investigate the influencing factors of depression. Results Twenty-six patients were detected depression in 96 cases, and the depression rate was 29.16%. Differences in gender, course of disease, severity of illness, discrimination experience, family situation, parental pressure, and age were statistically significant between the depression group and the non-depression group (P<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in place of residence and only child (P>0.05). Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that girls, course of disease> 3 years, discrimination experience, severe vitiligo, heavy parental pressure, and single-parent families are the influencing factors of depression in school-age children with vitiligo. Conclusion The detection rate of depression in school-aged children with vitiligo is relatively high, which is affected by factors such as gender and family conditions. It is necessary to strengthen the psychological intervention and health education of parents and children to improve their mental health.
