Objective Analyze the application effect of the integrated teaching mode of traditional Chinese medicine ophthalmology and modern medicine in ophthalmology teaching. Methods From September 2022 to December 2023, the 2020 clinical medicine students of our hospital were selected as the research objects, and the grouping method was random number table method, and the average group of 30 cases was divided into two groups, the group was named control group and observation group, of which the control group adopted the teaching mode of TCM ophthalmology, and the observation group implemented the integrated teaching mode of TCM ophthalmology and modern medicine. The differences between the two groups of trainees in terms of teaching effectiveness, test scores and satisfaction with teaching were compared. Results The observation group showed more outstanding performance and effectiveness in terms of participation in learning activities, optimization of learning environment, active learning ability, expression ability, teamwork ability, problem-solving and analysis ability, etc. (P<0.05); The basic theoretical assessment scores, case analysis assessment scores, and overall assessment scores of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group (P<0.05); At the same time, the satisfaction with teaching in the observation group was also higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Combining TCM ophthalmology with modern medicine integrated teaching can improve the satisfaction of trainees, enhance their clinical skills, and improve their academic performance.
