Objective To explore the therapeutic effect of Su Huang Zhi Ke Capsules combined with cetirizine on post-cold cough. Methods A total of 99 patients with post-cold cough admitted to our hospital from March 2024 to October 2024 were selected as the research subjects and randomly divided into three groups: the Su Huang group (33 cases), the Cetirizine group (33 cases), and the combination group (33 cases). The Su Huang group was treated with Su Huang Zhi Ke Capsules only, the Cetirizine group was treated with cetirizine only, and the combination group was treated with Su Huang Zhi Ke Capsules combined with cetirizine. The therapeutic effects and the incidence of adverse reactions of the three groups were compared. Results After one week of treatment, all three groups achieved certain effects, but the total effective rate of the combination group was significantly higher than that of the Su Huang group and the Cetirizine group, and the data between the groups showed significant differences with statistical significance (P < 0.05). At the same time, the incidence of adverse reactions in the combination group was relatively low, and the data between the groups showed significant differences with statistical significance (P < 0.05). Conclusion The combination of Su Huang Zhi Ke Capsules and cetirizine has a significant therapeutic effect on post-cold cough and has high application value in clinical treatment, which is worthy of promotion and application in clinical work.
