Objective Investigating the therapeutic effectiveness of combining arthroscopic cleaning with platelet-rich plasma for the management of knee osteoarthritis. Methods 50 patients diagnosed with knee osteoarthritis and admitted to our facility between March and August 2024 were chosen as study participants. Based on their treatment approaches, they were allocated into a control group and an experimental group, comprising 25 patients each. The control group underwent arthroscopic debridement, whereas the experimental group underwent arthroscopic debridement augmented with PRP therapy. A comparison was made between the two groups in terms of knee function, pain intensity, therapeutic outcomes, and complication rates. Results Postoperatively, the experimental group exhibited notably higher Lysholm scores and markedly lower VAS scores compared to the reference group (P<0.05). The experimental group demonstrated a significantly superior treatment efficacy (P<0.05), along with a considerably lower incidence of complications (P<0.05). Conclusion The combination of arthroscopic debridement and PRP therapy for knee osteoarthritis shows remarkable improvement in patients knee function, pain relief, clinical effectiveness, and a decrease in complication rates. This approach merits further clinical promotion and adoption.
