Objective To explore the impact of targeted nursing intervention in neurology department on the rehabilitation process of stroke patients with diabetes, and to provide practical basis for the optimization of clinical nursing program. Methods 80 cases of stroke patients with diabetes admitted to our hospital from May 2024 to May 2025 were selected and studied. They were divided into control group and observation group according to random number table, 40 cases in each group. The control group received routine nursing care in neurology, while the observation group received targeted rehabilitation nursing interventions on the basis of routine nursing. Compare the degree of neurological deficit, blood glucose control effect, and recovery of daily living ability between two groups of patients after nursing care. Results After nursing, the observation group had lower scores for neurological deficits compared to the control group, lower levels of fasting blood glucose and 2-hour postprandial blood glucose compared to the control group, and higher scores for daily living abilities compared to the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). Conclusion The targeted nursing intervention in neurology department can effectively improve the neurological function of stroke patients with diabetes, improve the effect of blood sugar control, and promote the recovery of patients ability of daily living.
