Objective To analyze the efficacy of levofloxacin combined with tinidazole in the treatment of chronic pelvic inflammatory disease in women. Methods The selection was carried out by random lottery, and the patients were divided into two groups. The control group consisted of 40 female patients with chronic pelvic inflammatory disease who were treated solely with tinidazole, while the observation group included 40 female patients with chronic pelvic inflammatory disease treated with a combination of levofloxacin and tinidazole. The admission period was from January 2023 to January 2024. Then, the treatment effects of the two groups were compared. Results The study showed that after treatment with levofloxacin combined with tinidazole, the VAS score of patients in the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the JOA score, symptom relief, mental health, complication status and quality of life were all superior to those of the control group. The differences were statistically significant (p < 0.05). Conclusion The combined therapy of levofloxacin and tinidazole has a remarkable therapeutic effect on chronic pelvic inflammatory disease in women. It can increase the cure rate, reduce the incidence of complications, improve mental health and quality of life, thus deserving clinical promotion.
