Objective To explore the application effect of continuity of care in the nursing of pediatric leukemia patients with PICC catheterization. Methods Sixty leukemia patients who received treatment with PICC catheters in our hospital from February 2022 to February 2024 were selected as the study subjects. These patients were randomly divided into a control group (30 cases) and an observation group (30 cases) using a random number table method. The control group received routine care, while the observation group received continued care on this basis. Compare the incidence of complications between two groups of pediatric patients and the satisfaction of their families with nursing services. Results The incidence of complications in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.05); The nursing satisfaction score of the observation groups family members was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Applying continuity of care to the management of PICC catheters in children with leukemia can not only effectively reduce the occurrence of complications, but also significantly improve the nursing satisfaction and overall nursing experience of patients families, providing more comprehensive and detailed support and guarantee for the recovery of children.
