Objective To discuss and clarify the value of evidence-based case study nursing strategy in the care of children with pertussis. Methods A total of 90 children with pertussis admitted to our hospital from May 2023 to May 2024 were randomly numbered from 1 to 90. The even-numbered children were selected as the evidence-based group, and the odd-numbered children were selected as the routine group, with 45 cases in each group. Evidence-based case analysis was used to intervene the evidence-based group, and routine nursing was used to intervene the routine group. The duration of clinical symptoms and hospital stay, the level of inflammation-related indicators, the incidence of complications and the knowledge of family members were compared. Results Compared with the conventional group, the duration of clinical symptoms and hospital stay in the evidence-based group were significantly shorter, the level of inflammation-related indicators was more normal, the incidence of complications was lower (only 4.44%), and the knowledge of family members was better. The comparison of relevant data among the above indexes was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion Evidence-based case analysis nursing strategy has good nursing value in the nursing of children with pertussis, which can not only improve the symptoms of children more quickly, reduce their inflammation, promote their recovery, but also further reduce the incidence of complications and further improve the knowledge of family members.
