Objective To analyze the difference between evidence-based nursing and routine nursing in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes. Methods 100 elderly patients with type 2 diabetes who went to hospital from January 2022 to December 2023 were randomly divided into 50 cases of control group for routine nursing and 50 cases of observation group for evidence-based nursing. The comprehensive management and nursing satisfaction scores of patients in the two groups were compared. Results After nursing, the number of people in the observation group who met the blood glucose standard was better than that in the control group. The Morisliy medication adherence score, ESCA self-care ability score, and nursing satisfaction were better than those in the control group, and the comparison of indicators was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The application of evidence-based nursing in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes has obvious advantages over conventional nursing. It can promote patients to reach the standard of blood glucose management, increase their awareness of self-care, and increase the score of drug compliance. The score of patients nursing satisfaction is high, and the nursing service is recognized.
