Objective To investigate the organ donation willingness and rights awareness of ICU medical staff of Nanchong tertiary Hospital. Methods From January 2024 to September 2024, the ICU medical staff of Nanchong tertiary Hospital were included as the research object, and the sample size was 200. To investigate the current knowledge, attitude and willingness of organ donation and the cognitive status of issues related to organ donation rights of ICU medical staff of Nanchong tertiary Hospital. Results Among the 200 ICU medical staff in tertiary hospitals in Nanchong city, 50 were willing to donate organs, and the proportion of organ donors was 25.00%, which was lower than 75.00% (150 / 200) of those without organ donation. The score of the Questionnaire on Organ Donation Knowledge, Attitude, Willingness and Rights of those with graduate degree or above was higher than that of those with bachelors degree or below (p <0.05). Among the ICU medical staff who had no organ donation intention, 21.33% (32 / 150) were influenced by traditional ethics, 30.00% (45 / 150), and 48.67% (73 / 150) were lacking of knowledge of organ donation. Conclusion ICU medical staff in Nanchong tertiary Hospital are not strong enough to donate organ organs, have poor awareness of organ donation rights, and have insufficient enthusiasm to participate in organ work. The influencing factors are mainly related to the influence of traditional ideas, disapproval of family members, and lack of knowledge of organ donation.
