Objective To analyze the role and effect of risk management in nursing application of ophthalmic wards. Methods This study included 100 ophthalmic patients in our hospital from January 2023 to January 2024 as research subjects. After being determined to meet the inclusion criteria, the patients were enrolled in the study group (50 cases) and the reference group (50 cases). The reference group carried out routine nursing and the study group carried out risk management. The risk incidence rate, nursing quality score, and patient satisfaction of the two groups were statistically analyzed. The obtained data were statistically analyzed and compared between the groups, and statistical tests were performed at the same time. Results The results of this study showed that the risk incidence rate of the two groups was lower in the study group and higher in the reference group; the nursing quality score of the study group was higher than that of the reference group; the patient satisfaction rate, the total satisfaction rate of the study group was higher than that of the reference group; the data of the two groups showed significant differences (P < 0.05). Conclusion The application of risk management in nursing application of ophthalmic wards has the effect of reducing the risk incidence rate, improving the quality of nursing, and enhancing patient satisfaction. The application effect is ideal and it is recommended to promote its application.
