Objective To explore and analyze the effectiveness of nursing participation teaching method in clinical teaching of emergency department for undergraduate students in traditional Chinese medicine. Methods From January 2023 to January 2024, a total of 102 undergraduate students majoring in Traditional Chinese Medicine were enrolled. They were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group. The control group adopted the conventional teaching mode, while the observation group adopted the nursing participation teaching method to implement teaching. The assessment scores of the two groups were compared; Self-directed learning ability; Evaluate thinking ability and satisfaction. Results showed no significant difference between the two groups before intervention, P>0.05. After intervention, the observation group had higher theoretical knowledge and practical operation assessment scores than the control group, P<0.05. There was no significant difference in self-directed learning ability between the two groups before intervention, P>0.05. After intervention, the observation group had higher self-directed learning ability than the control group, P<0.05. The satisfaction of the observation group with clinical teaching was higher than that of the control group, P<0.05. Conclusion Nursing participation teaching method can significantly improve the assessment scores of undergraduate students in traditional Chinese medicine; Self-directed learning ability; Assessing thinking ability and satisfaction is worth promoting and applying.
