Abstract
Objective With the continuous improvement of medical standards, the demand for nursing quality is increasingly high. As an important part of the hospital, the mental health status of nursing staff in internal medicine directly affects the recovery of patients and the overall image of the hospital. Methods A questionnaire survey method was used, employing the Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS), the Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS), and a self-designed work pressure questionnaire to assess the mental health of nursing staff. The questionnaire included aspects such as work pressure, interpersonal relationships, and sleep quality. Results According to the questionnaire survey results, nursing staff have certain mental health issues to varying degrees. Among these, work pressure is the most significant, followed by interpersonal relationship issues, with sleep quality problems being relatively minor. Through multiple linear regression analysis, it was found that factors such as work pressure, interpersonal relationships, family factors, and the work environment significantly affect the mental health of nursing staff. Work pressure is the primary influencing factor, followed by interpersonal relationship issues. Conclusion Nursing staff, working in a tense environment for long periods, are prone to psychological problems. The survey results indicate that work pressure and interpersonal relationship issues among nursing staff are particularly prominent. This may be related to the characteristics of the operating room, such as high work intensity, high risk, and high expectations from patients families. Therefore, hospitals should pay attention to the mental health issues of nursing staff and take targeted support measures. The results of this study indicate that nursing staff in the operating room have certain mental health problems to a certain extent, mainly manifested as work pressure, anxiety, depression, etc. These issues may affect the recovery of patients and the overall image of the hospital, thus requiring high attention.
