Objective This study aims to assess the effectiveness of implementing an operating room nursing pathway in enhancing the comfort of patients during the perioperative period. The specific objectives include: 1. Analyzing the basic elements of the operating room nursing pathway and their application in perioperative nursing. 2. Evaluating changes in patient comfort before and after the implementation of the operating room nursing pathway. 3. Discussing the factors influencing patient perioperative comfort with the operating room nursing pathway. Methods Based on relevant guidelines and literature, combined with the actual situation of the hospital, an operating room nursing pathway was developed and implemented. The nursing pathway includes preoperative preparation, intraoperative care, postoperative care, and rehabilitation guidance. Results After implementing the operating room nursing pathway, there was a significant reduction in patients pain scores, and both self-assessed and nurse-assessed comfort levels significantly improved. Specific data showed that the difference in pain scores before and after implementation was statistically significant (P<0.05). Through multiple linear regression analysis, it was found that factors such as preoperative psychological counseling, intraoperative warming measures, and postoperative rehabilitation guidance significantly affected patient perioperative comfort. Conclusion This study on the role of the operating room nursing pathway in enhancing patient perioperative comfort indicates that the implementation of the pathway can significantly improve patient comfort. Among them, preoperative psychological counseling, intraoperative warming measures, and postoperative rehabilitation guidance play important roles in enhancing patient comfort. Based on the study results, it is recommended that hospitals actively promote the operating room nursing pathway in perioperative nursing, optimize nursing processes, and improve the quality of nursing care. At the same time, medical staff should pay attention to the individual differences of patients and develop personalized nursing plans to meet the needs of different patients.
