Objective To analyze the elderly patients with coronary heart disease and type 2 diabetes by using community nursing guidance to provide suggestions for healthy life and complication prevention for patients with chronic diseases. Methods 100 elderly patients with type 2 diabetes admitted from January 2024 to December 2024 were selected with basic nursing for the control group; community nursing in the observation group to compare the clinical nursing effect. Results The self-care ability score of chronic patients was higher than the control group, with significant difference (P <0.05). In addition, the knowledge of chronic diseases was higher than that of the control group, was significant (P <0.05). Finally, the observation group showed higher compliance than the control group, with significant differences (P <0.05). Conclusion The effect of community nursing for elderly patients with type 2 diabetes is remarkable, which not only improves the disease knowledge awareness rate and self-care ability of patients, but also effectively improves the patients medical compliance behavior, and the intervention effect is accurate.
