Modern Social Science Research

This study analyzes literature from June 2003 to November 2024 on the theme of "Guangxi, Culture, Going Global" sourced from China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) to explore the current state and research hot topics of Guangxis cultural dissemination. A total of 463 valid documents were collected. The research tools included Excel and CiteSpace, with Excel used for publication volume statistics and CiteSpace employed for mapping analyses of major research institutions, keyword co-occurrence, clustering, and research trends. The results indicate that Guangxi University, Guangxi Minzu University, and Guangxi Normal University are the leading research institutions with a high volume of publications. Keyword analysis reveals that “cultural industry”, “Belt and Road Initiative”, and “ASEAN” are key research hot topics, reflecting widespread academic interest in these topics. Clustering and timeline analyses further illustrate the evolution of research, transitioning from ethnic culture to the Belt and Road Initiative and then to a focus on intangible cultural heritage, indicating the ongoing development and deepening of research on Guangxis cultural dissemination. Overall, this study provides a systematic perspective for understanding the significance of Guangxis culture in international exchanges.
