本文旨在探讨功能对等理论在纪录片字幕翻译中的应用，以《寻找功夫》为研究对象，分析其中文字幕翻译策略，探讨如何在翻译过程中实现功能对等。本文选取《寻找功夫》纪录片作为案例，分析其中文字幕的翻译过程与效果。通过对原文和译文的对比分析，本文探讨了在不同文化背景下，如何通过适当的翻译策略实现功能对等，使目标语言观众能够理解这些价值观的深层含义。功能对等理论在纪录片字幕翻译中具有重要的指导意义，通过科学合理的翻译策略，可以实现源语言和目标语言在功能和文化上的对等，提升翻译质量，促进跨文化交流与理解。

| Abstract |
The purpose of this article is to explore the application of the functional equivalence theory in documentary subtitle translation, using “ Searching for Kung Fu” as a case study to analyze its Chinese subtitle translation strategies and discuss how to achieve functional equivalence in the translation process. Using the documentary “Searching for Kung Fu” as a case study, this article analyzes the translation process and effectiveness of its Chinese subtitles. By comparing the original text with the translated text, the article explores how to achieve functional equivalence through appropriate translation strategies in different cultural contexts, enabling the target language audience to understand the deeper meanings of these values. The functional equivalence theory provides important guidance in documentary subtitle translation. Through scientifically reasonable translation strategies, it is possible to achieve functional and cultural equivalence between the source and target languages, improve translation quality, and promote cross-cultural communication and understanding.
