【Abstract】Objective To investigate the main factors influencing the patients who cause troubles and accidents with severe mental disorder. Methods A total of 489 cases of patients who cause troubles and accidents from November 2019 to October 2020 with severe mental disorder were selected from the information management system of Hunan Province as the study group，and 489 patients with serious mental disorder without causing trouble and accident were randomly selected as the control group. A total of 978 patients were selected as the study subjects. The influencing factors of accident-causing behavior were analyzed by chi-square test and binary stepwise Logistic regression. Results Gender of male, young and middle-aged (18-44 years old, 45-60 years old), low educational level, urban household status, lack of insight, irregular medication, and non-participation in community rehabilitation services were the risk factors for the occurrence of accident-causing behaviors, and the differences were statistically significant (P< 0.05). Conclusion Attention should be paid to the patients with severe mental disorders, such as lack of self-knowledge, irregular medication, male, 18-60 years old, low educational level, urban households, and not participating in community rehabilitation services, and targeted measures should be taken to reduce the incidence of the troubles and accidents.
