Against the backdrop of comprehensively governing the country according to law in the new era, modern legal thinking, as a crucial component of the socialist legal system with Chinese characteristics, has become an important part of ideological and political education in higher education. Organically integrating modern legal thinking into ideological and political courses in colleges and universities not only helps to enhance students’ awareness and literacy of the rule of law but also meets the practical need of fulfilling the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education. This paper aims to explore the integration pathways of modern legal thinking and ideological and political courses in higher education, innovate teaching modes, enhance the effectiveness andattractiveness of ideological and political courses, and promote the in-depth dissemination of the spirit of the rule of law among young people in colleges and universities.
