In the new era, college students,as cultural and tourism consultants, can promote the inheritance and spreading of excellent Chinese local culture while driving regional economic growth. Jinxiu Yao Autonomous County, located in the city of Laibin and rich in profound Yao culture, exemplifies ethnic unity and harmony, and holds great potential for cultural promotion. This paper proposes that consultants should collect and sort out indigenous Yao culture through literature review, field research, visits,and interviews,fully exploring its cultural connotations. Moreover, the promotion channels for local culture should be innovated via online campaigns and the services of cultural and tourism consultants to further enrich the content of communication. Furthermore, the role of college students in serving local development should be leveraged.We should encourage them to inherit and spread excellent local culture, thereby boosting inclusive and innovative growth in local culture and tourism.
