本文从功能主义视角探讨了科普类作品《从宁波到日本：生活世界的对话》的翻译实践。首先简要介绍了该书的跨学科内容和科普特性，并重点分析了翻译过程中采用的策略，包括语序调整、句式重组、增译及文本类型动态调整等，以确保译文流畅并适应目标语文化语境。最后，通过具体译例展示了功能主义原则如何以目标语读者的接受性为导向，使译文既忠实原文又通俗易懂。

| Abstract |
This study examines the translation of the popular science work From Ningbo to Japan: A Dialogue of Lifeworlds from a functionalist perspective. It outlines the book’s interdisciplinary nature and key popular science features, and analyzes strategies such as word order adjustment, sentence restructuring, amplification, and dynamic adaptation of text types to ensure fluency and cultural appropriateness in the target language. Examples illustrate how functionalist principles enhance target reader acceptability, producing a translation that is both faithful to the original and easy to understand.
