Drawing on the robust theoretical framework of the Sapir-Whorf Hypothesis and feminist theory, this paper aims to provide a comprehensive and in-depth analysis of how gender language representation manifests in English and Chinese, as well as the underlying reasons for this phenomenon. This approach goes beyond the limitations of previous studies, which often focused solely on linguistic aspects. Gender language representation, as a pervasive linguistic phenomenon, influences every facet of language, permeating diverse language use contexts and discourses. To delve deeper into the roots of gender language representation in English and Chinese, this paper adopts a broader perspective. By examining factors such as cultural background, social gender role divisions, and psychological cognitive frameworks, this paper strives to construct a multidimensional explanatory model, uncovering the deeply entrenched causes of gender language representation at the linguistic level. This analysis not only explores the linguistic phenomenon but also offers a profound reflection on the issue of gender equality in a cross-cultural context.
