Scientific Development Research

Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) is one of the most common neurodevelopmental disorders, typically occurring in early childhood. Currently, developmental language barriers have not received sufficient global attention, especially in China. Currently, the countries with the most research on developmental language barriers are those that speak English. Due to the uniqueness of the Chinese language, studying developmental language barriers in Chinese is a supplement to research in this field. The research in this field started relatively late in China and has gone through a slow development period. Although there are more and more related studies, further attention is still needed in this field in China. This study aims to investigate the current status and trends of research on developmental language disorders in China, in order to provide some references for future research in this field. The annual publication volume, research hotspots, and research trends were analyzed and visualized using CiteSpace software. The software mainly utilizes the keyword clustering function and timezone map function, combined with manual analysis of the collected data, to systematically and scientifically summarize the research hotspots in this field in China, and highlight the possible research areas in the future.
