The solution to the housing problem is an important part of the socialist modernization and the realization of the peoples good life. From 1872 to 1873, Engels carried on the thought of Proudhons residence. Although Engels and Proudhon paid close attention to the destruction of the housing rights of the working class in the capitalist society, and violated the principle of fairness, the means put forward by philanthropists are illusory, Engels saw it more deeply.
