The family is the basic unit of society and an important place for children to grow up, and family education is a powerful guarantee to support childrens healthy physical and mental growth. With the series of reforms of the Late Qing government, the changes in the national system after the Xinhai Revolution and the renewal of ideas, all aspects of politics, economics, culture and education have gone from questioning to reconstruction, including family education, which was once regarded as the private sphere of the family. In addition to the self-reflection within the family, the whole change of family education has added the external motivation mechanism, i.e., the intervention and demand from the public environment outside the family. On the basis of explaining the guidance of family education, this paper describes the emergence and development trajectory of family education guidance in the context of modern society, and summarizes the revelations of modern family education guidance.
