With the accelerating pace of modernization, the rapid development of artificial intelligence is not only changing peoples lifestyles but also bringing unprecedented opportunities to educational and teaching reforms. As a crucial compulsory subject, college English has also been influenced by artificial intelligence. This study aims to explore the application of artificial intelligence technology in modern college English classroom teaching, sorts out the current development status of artificial intelligence technology in the field of education, and focuses on analyzing its specific application scenarios in college English teaching. The research finds that artificial intelligence technology plays an important role in the teaching of English listening, speaking, reading and writing, and can effectively improve teaching quality and learning efficiency. Meanwhile, this paper also explores the challenges that artificial intelligence faces in college English classroom teaching and proposes corresponding solutions. The research results show that the rational use of artificial intelligence technology can significantly improve the teaching effect of college English, providing new ideas for future educational innovation.
