This paper focuses on the ideological and political teaching in English phonetics courses and introduces the Content and Language Integration Theory. It elaborates on the connotation of this theory and its application value in ideological and political education in courses. The current situation and problems of ideological and political teaching in English phonetics courses are analyzed. Based on this, innovative strategies for teaching content are proposed from aspects such as excavating ideological and political elements in textbooks, introducing real - life language situations, and adopting project - based and blended teaching methods.
