This study, grounded in sociocultural theory and activity theory, proposes a systematic model for integrating ideological and political education into postgraduate English courses. It investigates the bidirectional promotion mechanism between English classroom instruction and the cultivation of students values and cultural identity. The model fosters the synergistic interaction of system elements by thoroughly exploring the value connotations of teaching materials and seamlessly incorporating them into instructional activities. This approach is complemented by diverse practical methods, such as "telling Chinas stories in English." Empirical findings demonstrate that the proposed course system significantly enhances students learning motivation, English proficiency, and ability to interpret Chinese culture. The results offer a solid theoretical foundation and practical framework for promoting ideological and political education in postgraduate English courses, providing valuable insights into strengthening students cultural identity, fostering cultural confidence, and advancing cultural self-reliance.
