This paper takes the “educator spirit” as the guiding ideology, deeply explores the current situation, existing problems and countermeasures of the construction of the teaching staff in Anshan colleges and universities. The “educator spirit” contains rich connotations such as firm beliefs, patriotism, and dedication to education, which provides a strong ideological foundation and value orientation for the construction of the teaching staff in colleges and universities. Through literature research, questionnaire surveys and interviews, it is found that there are some problems in the construction of the teaching staff in Anshan colleges and universities, such as insufficient attention to the cultivation of the “educator spirit”, uneven distribution of teachers, and insufficient professional development. In response to these problems, this paper proposes corresponding countermeasures, including strengthening the cultivation of the “educator spirit”, optimizing the teacher structure, and promoting the professional development of teachers, aiming to improve the overall quality of the teaching staff in Anshan colleges and universities and promote the high-quality development of higher education in Anshan.
