Under the background of globalization and the rapid development of Internet technology, ideological and political education in colleges and universities is facing brand-new challenges and opportunities. As the only city named after the Communist Youth League, Gongqing City is rich in red cultural resources and has unique characteristics. Guided by the concept of online education, this article explores how to integrate the red culture of Gongqing City into the practical education system of the "Grand Ideological and Political Course" in local colleges and universities. It proposes to achieve the digital inheritance of red culture and the contemporary innovation of ideological and political education through paths such as building a red culture online base that integrates "online + offline", innovating practical teaching models, and improving evaluation mechanisms. The research aims to provide theoretical references and practical examples for the practical education of ideological and political courses in local colleges and universities, and to help cultivate new era youth with a sense of patriotism and social responsibility.
