Objective To explore the application effect of strengthening health education in the nursing of acute upper respiratory tract infections in children. Methods Ninety children with acute upper respiratory tract infections admitted to our hospital from March 2021 to March 2022 were selected as the research subjects and randomly divided into a control group and an experimental group, with 45 cases in each group. 45 cases in the control group received routine nursing intervention, while 45 cases in the experimental group received strengthened health education nursing intervention. Results Comparing the temperature recovery time, total treatment time, symptom disappearance time, and incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups of children, the experimental group was significantly lower than the control group, and the satisfaction of the families of the experimental group children with outpatient nursing was higher than that of the control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05). Conclusion Strengthening health education in various nursing indicators of acute upper respiratory tract infection in children is significantly better than conventional nursing, and is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
