Objective To explore the therapeutic effect of using Huolong jar combined with traditional Chinese medicine characteristic nursing on lumbar disc herniation of blood stasis and qi stagnation type. Methods 70 patients with blood stasis and qi stagnation type lumbar disc herniation admitted to our hospital from September 2023 to June 2024 were selected as the observation subjects and randomly divided into a control group (35 cases) and an observation group (35 cases). The control group received fire dragon jars, while the observation group received traditional Chinese medicine characteristic nursing on this basis. Compare the treatment outcomes, pain levels, and lumbar spine function scores between two groups of patients. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group, with lower pain scores and higher lumbar spine function scores. The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The combination of Huolong jar and traditional Chinese medicine characteristic nursing has a significant therapeutic effect on lumbar disc herniation of blood stasis and qi stagnation type, effectively relieving patients pain and improving lumbar spine function. It has significant promotional value in clinical treatment.
