Objective Analyze and discuss the effect of "Internet plus" extended nursing care on diabetes patients with insulin injection. Methods Eighty patients with diabetes who received insulin injection from April 2024 to December 2024 in our hospital were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into the observation group ("Internet plus" extended nursing) and the control group (conventional nursing), and the nursing effects of the two groups were compared. Results The observation group had better blood glucose control [fasting blood glucose, 2-hour postprandial blood glucose, and glycated hemoglobin were (5.65 ± 0.23) mmol/L, (8.23 ± 0.24) mmol/L, and (5.12 ± 0.13)%, respectively] compared to the control group. Their awareness of insulin injection therapy and self-management ability [insulin pump intensified therapy awareness (88.71 ± 3.98) points, self-concept (36.67 ± 3.24) points, health knowledge level (30.67 ± 3.17) points, self-management skills (35.96 ± 3.25) points, and self-management responsibility (43.73 ± 5.94) points] were higher than those of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The implementation effect of "Internet plus" extended nursing for insulin injection patients with diabetes is obvious, and it is worth popularizing and applying widely.
