Objective Observation and analysis of the clinical efficacy and application value of implementing operating room systematic nursing for elderly patients undergoing general anesthesia surgery. Methods Sixty elderly patients who underwent general anesthesia surgery in the hospital were selected, and were randomly divided into two groups based on random numbers: control group and experimental group. The number of observed cases was highly consistent. Implement routine nursing and operating room systematic nursing separately. Collect and analyze nursing outcomes. Results Compared with the control group, the experimental group had shorter recovery time of spontaneous breathing, extubation time, completion time of instructions, and eye opening time, and higher diastolic blood pressure, systolic blood pressure, and heart rate at the completion of surgery; The levels of norepinephrine, cortisol, and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein were lower at the time of surgery and 2 hours after surgery, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Systematic nursing in the operating room can effectively reduce the time required for anesthesia recovery in elderly patients undergoing general anesthesia surgery, promote stable vital signs, reduce the risk of stress reactions, facilitate smooth surgical implementation, improve prognosis, and have high application value.
