Objective To explore the clinical effect of basic insulin combined with metformin hydrochloride tablets in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in community. Methods the study period was set from January 2020 to January 2022. During this period, 80 patients with type 2 diabetes in the community health service center were selected as the subjects of the study. According to the random grouping method, they were divided into two groups with 40 patients in each group to establish different treatment schemes. The routine group was treated with basic insulin, and the experimental group was treated with basic insulin combined with metformin hydrochloride tablets. The blood glucose indexes and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results before treatment, there was no difference in blood glucose between the two groups (P > 0.05). After treatment, compared with the routine group, the blood glucose index of the experimental group was lower (P < 0.05). Compared with the routine group, the incidence of adverse reactions in the experimental group was lower (P < 0.05). Conclusion the combination of metformin hydrochloride tablets and basic insulin in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in the community is more conducive to blood glucose control, reduce adverse reactions, and achieve good treatment results. It is recommended to promote it.
