Objective To analyze the value of using music combined with supine touch in neonatal nursing. Methods A group controlled study was conducted on newborns delivered in our hospital from August 2023 to August 2024. A total of 96 cases were enrolled and divided into two groups using a digital random table method. The control group (n=48) received routine touch, while the observation group (n=48) received music combined with a supine position touch. Evaluate the intervention effect of two groups based on crying, fetal stool condition, and hyperbilirubinemia. On the first day of touch intervention, the crying rate in the observation group decreased compared to the control group, and there was a significant difference between the groups (P<0.05). The observation group showed a significant decrease in the time for the first bowel movement and the time for the stool to turn yellow compared to the control group (P<0.05). Comparing two groups of newborns with hyperbilirubinemia, the incidence rate in the observation group decreased compared to the control group, and there was a significant difference between the groups (P<0.05). Conclusion The application of music combined with supine touch in neonatal care can help reduce crying, promote bowel movements, and lower the risk of hyperbilirubinemia.
