[Abstract] Objective: to analyze the clinical effect of orthodontic treatment in prosthodontics and its influence on the psychological state of patients. Methods: 116 patients with congenital missing teeth in our hospital from October 2018 to October 2020 were selected and divided into two groups according to "different treatment methods". 58 patients in the reference group were treated with simple prosthodontics, while 58 patients in the observation group were treated with orthodontic treatment on the basis of the reference group. The clinical efficacy, masticatory function, incidence of complications, SAS score and SDS score of the two groups were compared. Results: the clinical total effective rate of the observation group (96.55%) was higher than that of the reference group (79.31%), the bite force and masticatory efficiency of the observation group after treatment were higher than those of the reference group, P < 0.05 (the differences were statistically significant). The complication rate of the observation group (1.72%) was lower than that of the reference group (15.52%). The SAS score and SDS score of the observation group after treatment were lower than those of the reference group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion: orthodontic treatment can effectively improve the oral condition of patients with congenital missing teeth, improve masticatory efficiency, reduce complications and relieve psychological pressure of patients.
