[Abstract] Objective: To study the effect of nursing intervention on prognosis and depression and anxiety score of elderly patients with severe pneumonia combined with ventilator-associated pneumonia. Methods: According to the method of random digital table, 76 elderly patients with severe pneumonia and ventilator-associated pneumonia received by our hospital from February 2018 to February 2021 were divided into two groups, 38 patients in the control group were given routine nursing and 38 patients in the observation group were treated with comprehensive nursing intervention. The anxiety and depression scores, blood gas analysis indexes, lung function indexes, complications, ventilator usage time, hospitalization time and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results: The SAS score, SDS score, PaCO2 and PEEPi of the observation group were lower than that of the control group, and PaO2, sapo2 and PEF were higher in the dry prognosis group than in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); The incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that of the control group, the time of ventilator use and hospitalization time were shorter than that of the control group, and the nursing satisfaction was higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion: Comprehensive nursing intervention for elderly patients with severe pneumonia combined with ventilator-associated pneumonia can alleviate their negative emotions, improve blood gas analysis index and lung function, and can achieve good prognosis.
