[Abstract] Objective: to analyze the effect of laparoscopic hernia repair in the treatment of pediatric hernia and its influence on the psychological state of children. Methods: 98 cases of hernia in our hospital from March 2019 to March 2021 were selected and divided into two groups according to "different treatment methods". 49 cases in the reference group were treated with traditional operation, and 49 cases in the experimental group were treated with laparoscopic hernia repair. The operation indexes, VAS score, total incidence of complications, HAMA score and HAMD score of the two groups were compared. Results: the operation time, the first ventilation time and the first defecation time of the experimental group were shorter than those of the reference group. The intraoperative blood loss, hospitalization expenses and VAS score of the experimental group were lower than those of the reference group. The total incidence of complications of the experimental group (2.04%) was lower than that of the reference group (16.33%), and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). The scores of HAMA and HAMD in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion: laparoscopic hernia repair can effectively shorten the treatment time of pediatric hernia, reduce postoperative pain, bad mood, and reduce complications.
